Our new home in France

While looking for a house to rent, somewhere to base ourselves while we hunt for the right property, we found the perfect house in the perfect spot -and with the help of the lovely people at Cle Rouge Immobilier in Duras it is ours! This blog is primarily for our friends and family to follow the ups and downs of the adventures. However if we don't know you, I hope you'll enjoy the story too, and that one day you may consider booking into our lovely home as a paying guest - you'll be made very welcome!

Just a quick one!

Just thought I would do a quick blog to show how the plum trees are positively leaping into full bloom.
You can see the trees in the background, this was taken on Sunday

Tuesday (yesterday)
Today (Wednesday)
It's amazing to see the difference every day!
The wisteria which was in tight bud at the weekend, is showing colour today..

The pond is filling up, I'm hoping to see frogs in here one day soon.
Jeremy, the electrician was back today, putting the wiring into the gite. No builders today as Rus's brand new baby daughter arrived this morning. Congratulations!

All change again!

  1. Wow it's all action at your place isn't it, and I thought I'd been busy in the garden till I saw what you guys have done. Also am envious of you advanced season, wisteria already!

  2. Isn't it amazing?! The changes are happening so quickly too. One day tight buds, the next colour. I'd like to claim the credit for all the changes but a team of builders and a big digger are really responsible! (and my hard-working husband, back in the UK, earning the money to pay for it all)(and of course mother nature - sunshine and rain).
Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment. Fiona
